Me haluamme osoittaa tukemme ja solidaarisuutemme Black Lives Matter -liikkeelle järjestämällä rauhanomaisen mielenosoituksen jossa näytämme oululaisten vastustavan kaikkea rasismia, syrjintää ja sortoa. Tämänhetkisen tilanteen johdosta pyydämme osallistujia käyttämään hengityssuojaimia ja pitämään suositellun turvaetäisyyden muihin. Tuo omat liput ja kyltit ja muista että kyseessä on antirasistinen tapahtuma, jossa minkäänlainen syrjintä ei ole sallittua.

Kunnioittaaksemme George Floydin muistoa, olemme päättäneet pitää 8 minuuttia ja 46 sekuntia kestävän hiljaisen hetken. Derek Chauvinin kehokamera paljastaa tämän olleen se aika kuinka pitkään hän piti polveaan George Floydin kaulalla, mikä johti hänen kuolemaan. Tämän kaltaisten tapahtumien ei pitäisi voida käydä uudelleen, poliisiväkivallan ja häirinnän ympäri maailmaa on tultava päätökseen. Nyt rittää!

We would like to show our support and solidarity to the Black Lives Matter movement by organizing a peaceful and pacific protest so to show that the people from Oulu are against any kind of racism, discrimination and oppression. Because of this moment and following the health regulations, we ask the participants to use protection masks and keep a safety distance among participants. Bring your own flags and banners and remember that this is an antiracist event and discrimination of any kind is not allowed.
 
To honor the memory of George Floyd we will hold a 8 minutes and 46 seconds of silence. The time is picked because according to his own body camera, officer Chavin had his knee on George Floyd’s neck for a total of 8 minutes and 46 seconds, slowly strangling him to death. Events like this should not be allowed to happen again and the police brutality and harassment all over the world needs to stop! Enough is enough!
